At Banana Moon Day Nursery Tunbridge Wells, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. That's why we continue to invest in robust safeguarding measures that provide families with confidence and peace of mind from the moment they arrive.
One of the key features of our nursery is our secure biometric fingerprint entry system. Registered parents, carers, and authorised team members are enrolled onto the system, allowing them to access the nursery quickly and securely using their fingerprint. Unlike PIN codes or key cards, biometric identification is unique to each individual, helping to ensure that only authorised people can enter the building. Unregistered visitors are required to ring the doorbell and are admitted by a member of our team.
This secure access system forms part of our wider safeguarding approach, working alongside our CCTV coverage, safer recruitment procedures, enhanced DBS checks, designated safeguarding leads, visitor management procedures, and comprehensive safeguarding training for all staff. Together, these measures help create a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
An additional benefit of biometric access is that it enables our practitioners to spend less time managing the entrance and more time where they belong—supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing. Parents also enjoy the convenience of fast, seamless access when dropping off or collecting their little ones.
At Banana Moon Tunbridge Wells, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we are committed to continually reviewing and enhancing our security measures to ensure every child remains safe, secure, and happy throughout their nursery journey.
If you'd like to learn more about our safeguarding procedures or arrange a visit to see our facilities in person, we'd love to welcome you to Banana Moon Tunbridge Wells.
